ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
MORAL CHARACTER: Contestants taking part in any of the Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant, LLC must be of good moral character, possess grace, elegance, social skills and etiquette. All Contestants should not have been convicted of a felony or have any criminal charges pending and should not, in any way, have been engaged in any activities that are characterized as dishonest, immoral or indecent.
BASIC CONTESTANT REQUIREMENTS
- Must reside in North Carolina
- Must be assigned female at birth
- Must be sizes 12+
- Must be one of the following:
Ages 18-20 - Miss Full-Figured NC (must compete for Ms. to advance to Nationals)
Ages 21-39 - Ms. Full-Figured NC (advances to Nationals)*
Ages 21-39 - Ms. Full-Figured NC Plus (advances to Nationals)*
Ages 40-60 - Ms. Exquisite Full-Figured NC (advances to Nationals)*
Ages 60+ - Ms. Elite Full-Figured NC (currently does not advance to Nationals) - Must compete for National Pageant (Ms. Full-Figured, Ms. Full-Figured Plus & Ms. Exquisite)*
- May be single, married, divorced, widowed
- Must develop a platform
- Must make one appearance a month as a delegate
- Must complete minimum 25 hours community service or volunteer work - You can submit more for an opportunity to be MSFFNC Community Service
- Must respect yourself, fellow contestants, and pageant staff
- Must promote yourself via social media and/or family and friends
- Must pay a pageant fee of $425 - 1st deposit is $125 to secure your spot
(Ms. Full-Figured*, Ms. Full-Figured Plus*, Ms. Exquisite*, Ms. Elite) - Must pay a pageant fee of $299 - 1st deposit is $100 to secure your spot
(Miss Full-Figured) - Must sell (12) tickets
- Must sell minimum (1) full-page digital pageant ad (from family, friends, and/or businesses)
- Must exude grace, poise, and confidence
- Must be in reasonably good health
- Must be of good moral character

STATE PAGEANT INFORMATION
A contestants MUST compete and win one of the 3 main titles (highlighted/starred above) in the state level pageant before competing in the National Pageant. A Queen is required to compete at the next level of competition in the same pageant cycle in which her crown was won with Ms. Full-Figured USA National Pageant. When a Queen cannot compete at the next level of competition, her title will be offered to the next eligible runner-up.*
Previous contestants may compete in the following pageant year for the state. Reigning Queens may not compete at the same pageant which they are crowning their successor. Queens may be eligible to compete the following pageant year - Example: You won in the plus category at 39, now you are 41 - you won in the plus category at size 18+, now you are size 12-16 - You won in 2021, you cannot compete in 2022, but may be able to compete in 2023. Please refer to State Director before reapplying.

COMPETING AT THE NEXT LEVEL OF COMPETITION
A Queen is required to compete at the next level of competition - Ms. Full-Figured USA National Pageant - in the same pageant cycle in which her crown was won. A separate pageant fee will apply - Director will let provide additional information.
Queens who cannot compete at the next level will be required to pay a withdrawal fee and return all prizes awarded, including crown and sash. Queens paying the withdrawal fee may keep the crown and sash but may not make public appearances, wear the sash or crown in public, or represent that title at any time or in any way.
Withdrawal fee is as follows:
- State $500 and keep your crown and sash or $350 and return your crown and sash.

CONTESTANT RULES AND REGULATIONS
*Additional requirements may be added throughout the pageant process
- Contestants must abide by the rules set forth by Ms. Full-Figured North Carolina Pageant LLC, State Director, and Pageant Staff.
- Contestants must be at least 18 years old to compete in the pageant.
- Contestants must be assigned female at birth to compete. Contestant must remain their assignment until she has crowned her successor.
- Contestants in any division who become pregnant while competing, must resign their position upon learning of the pregnancy. No refund will be issued.
- Contestant must consider if she can afford to compete. If she feels like she does not have the money, she may raise the funds through fundraisers or obtaining sponsorship from businesses, family and friends.
- If a contestant raises money with the intent to compete in Ms. Full-Figured North Carolina Pageant, LLC and does not compete, all funds raised must be returned. All fundraising activities must cease. It is illegal to raise money under false pretense. Be fair and honest when raising your funds.
- If a contestant cannot compete due to hospitalization or a death in the family during pageant week, evidence/proof must be submitted to the office. Directors at the current competition level have discretion over if the contestant will be excused. Fees are not refundable. However, if the reason is granted, the contestant will be allowed to compete the following year.
- Contestants with current or pending felony convictions may not compete.
- Contestants who have posed nude or nearly nude photos may not compete. Never posed nude in print or any other medium; past or present.
- Contestants who show disrespect to their Director, Pageant Liaison, family, friends, staff, or anyone else during the pageant process will be asked to leave the pageant process. Disrespect will not be tolerated. No refund will be issued.
- Contestants are not allowed to smoke or drink while in their sash and crown. Use of illegal drugs is prohibited.
- Contestants must conduct themselves in a professional manner and portray high moral standards at all times.
- Contestants are not allowed to take picture in their contestant sash. Though we always wear our invisible crowns. We believe crowns are earned.
- Should a contestant have an outstanding balance prior to pageant week, she will forfeit the monies paid and will not be allowed to compete.
- Contestants are responsible for their own travel to any in-person events, outings and pageant weekend.
- Contestants that are not able to make a payment in a timely fashion, will be asked to leave the pageant process. A payment schedule will be issued.
- Contestant must attend scheduled virtual and in-person workshops including but not limited to: contract, photoshoot, prelim and pageant.
- Contestants that are late for the virtual meetings or in person meetings without prior notice will be subject to a $5.00 late fine. The money will be donated to the charities of interest.
- Contestants must sign a waiver of good intention and ethics before being accepted as a Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant contestant.
- Contestant agrees that she cannot start their own pageant within 5 years of signing their contract.
- Contestant agrees that if she loses, or damages her sash or pin, she will be responsible for a replacement.
- Contestants must submit a minimum of (25) hours of community service or volunteer work. Points will be deducted if not completed.
- Contestants shall hold Ms. Full-Figured North Carolina Pageant, LLC, State Director, Pageant Staff, and Ms. Full-Figured USA National Pageant harmless in the event of an accident including personal injury, stolen property or damages during the process.
- Contestants must not make statements containing inappropriate or profane language, including inappropriate gestures or making derogatory statements or comments against Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant and Ms. Full-Figured USA National Pageant.
- Contestant agrees to give Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant permission to use photograph for promotional materials including new articles, print media, social media and pageant website.
- Contestants always respect themselves and their fellow pageant sisters. (Respect includes but not limited to: your social media presence, your public appearances and interactions - no appropriate images or profane language should be shared on social media or the like)
- All applications or contracts whether signed in person or submitted electronically serve as a legal-binding contract. Contestant must agree to all Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant, LLC financial obligations, terms and conditions. No refund will be issued. In the event of an untimely global event or having to move the pageant for any reason, the contract will be amended accordingly to reflect any changes needing to be made.
